GETTING RID OF LIMITING BELIEFS
On 13th December 2018, AOSH gave a warm welcome to David Harrison. David is a very inspiring individual providing motivational training through his company Sunrise Solutions Ltd.
As H&S professionals it is possible for us to doubt our ability to fulfil such a challenging role, though we try our best to plough through those challenges. David inspired us to better manage our limitations and realise our potential.

The aim of the session was to challenge our perception of what we as individuals, think we can do, against what we can actually do. To illustrate the point, A watercolour painting was handed around the group and we were all asked to replicate the painting.

David showed us that by breaking the painting down into small parts, every person in the room was able to replicate the painting to a good standard. This took many of us by surprise.
David instilled the view that if you think you can’t overcome a problem, then you won’t be able to, but, if you figure out the steps to overcoming the problem, then you have a chance of doing it to a high standard.

So next time you are trying to implement H&S improvements remember to see the bigger picture, break it down and take it one step at a time. Thank you David for a fun an interesting experience
