WHO WE ARE
Established in 1945 as the Bristol Safety & Training Group, The Avon Occupational Safety & Health Group (AOSH) as is now known, could not have continued let alone thrived without its’ voluntary Officers. Whether taking up an official post or as a supporting member of the Committee, their active participation over the years means that AOSH can look forward proudly to celebrating its’ 75th Anniversary in 2020. Our current Officers are listed below along with our Group Co-ordinator who manages to keep all our communications with members flowing freely on only a half-day a week.

PRESIDENT
DR RICHARD BRETTON
I have been an active member of AOSH Group since 1993 and its President since 2014. Until December 2017 I was a practising lawyer with international law firm Osborne Clarke LLP. I am now an Honorary Post-Doctorate Researcher with the University of Bristol’s Cabot Institute for the Environment.
My role is to provide guidance and support to the Group’s Chair and Committee Members and to champion its impressive programme of meetings, updates and site visits. For members wishing to identify, discuss and achieve Best Practice, I am confident that the Group will continue to be a friendly, supportive and valued resource.
